Last week, program was update on the proposed new Dairy Barn at Fairgrounds and need to raise funds to complete. Optimist members present were supportive. RoseAnn Hoffman and Don Schroeder presented the information and plans. Langlade County committed $240,000 and committee needs to come up with matching amount by March to complete this year.

Kelly Zebzewski from WPS gave update on the WPS Service Club Challenge and presented club with $1,000 for projects. Club was one of 21 clubs to complete requirements for the first annual challenge.

Shane Krueger was present to give update on Christmas Tree Burn. Next year, City of Antigo would like it held 3rd week of January. Shane will keep contact with City. Location south of High School worked well, but attendance was down because of cold and wind.

Bill Kelly won the first half of drawing and new member Bruce Jansen was not present to claim the REALLY BIG pile of cash. Since Bruce has not attended many meetings, some of us didn't recall him, in my case, I claim SRS, but what about all the young whippersnappers, like Pres Jenny, past pres Shawn, even middle aged Bob Ourada! Come back to reintroduce yourself to us, Bruce.

Ran into Mike Turney last week who promised to come to next meeting, that's tomorrow, Mike. See you there for another great program, and great lunch. Besides, eventually, someone will be present to claim the REALLY BIG pile of cash being carried around by Optimist Pres Jenny.

We had a short quiz to recall the name of Optimist Dr Sarah's dog. Believe it or not, most of those on the VET tour remembered. Wonder if Packer favorite B.J. Raji had something to do with "the memories"

Hope to see MOST of you at another great meeting tomorrow.
